i think it is time to visit my Cousin Peggy in New York City.
for one, i would like to visit my cousin peggy in new york city,
but for another, i would like very much to visit Washington DC again. my family visited the East Coast when i was 9 years old and even though i was a fidgety child with a short attention-span, i remember the trip to DC and to Gettysburg very vividly. it was an impressive and thoughtful experience for me.
anyway, alot of things have changed since then and there are a few new monuments (WWII & FDR) in the city and many new things in the Smithsonian aaaaand i would really like to see them. (especially since i found out that there are a bunch of stones in the Washington Monument that were donated by many places and groups of people, one of which was donated by the emperor of japan at the time and has a big ol' Raijin symbol on it :D)
anyway, i would love to go back, 12 years later, now that i'm grown up.
there are over 150 monuments in DC, and i want to see them all. i have alot of respect for this country, i really do. i know i get angry alot over the things that happen, but over all i AM proud to be American, i AM proud to have relatives that serve and are serving in the US Military (even if it worries and scares the crap out of me), and when my older brother graduated police academy yesterday morning, i DID stand and recite the pledge of allegiance with all the pride a sister could possibly have for her annoying big brother ^^
